Mediacorp's Channel 5 - OKTO

THE BRIEF

A brand identity and broadcast package for MediaCorp's Channel 5 OKTO series called Don't Try This at Home. An educational TV show about physics and science for children (10 to 13 years old).

We were responsible for developing a series of episodes that show various case studies hosted by Singapore's TV personality Nikki Muller and Aiken Chia. The broadcast package includes the main logoopening titleinfographic animation, lower 3rd, segment breakerend credit, and backdrop design.

CONCEPT

The creative direction and tonality we created for the show are fun, playful, and educationalTo enhance the look and capture the essence of the show, we used the concept of children's playroom and everyday home appliances with a spin of science laboratory atmosphere.

Opening Title

The opening title animation was inspired by the "Rube Goldberg Machine" effect, where one action leads to another causing a chain reaction.
